I’ve been making my own household cleaners for many years now. Partly to save money, mostly to be more green though. My friend got me hooked on essential oils and this is the first way I’m incorporating them into our lives at home.
I’m still learning about the many ways to use them, but so far I love the cleaners and I love the allergy concoction she made for me when spring allergies were kicking my butt! This is where I order my oils from, if you’re interested. I started with just a few – lavender, lemon, melaleuca & rosemary – so not to get overwhelmed at first.
Here are the recipes I’m currently using and loving. I plan to make more this fall, but started with these two.
I reused glass vinegar jars for my cleaners and added a spray top to them. You can also purchase glass jars for this purpose that are similar. It’s not recommended that essential oils be stored in plastic, so I stick to glass. I’m excited to continue exploring more in the world of essential oils and learning how to safely incorporate them into our lives.
P.S. This was not a sponsored post in any way, shape or form. After many years of hemming and hawing and wanting to conduct my own research regarding oils I finally decided to try them out. A close friend of mine is a distributor so if you have any questions or are interested in trying them out I’d be happy to connect you with her!
