Gosh, second recipe post this week. I must be feeling domestic or something. I can’t eat granola, but Al can and he enjoys it every once in a while. But that stuff is expensive and is loaded with sweetener, even when bought organically (organic doesn’t always mean healthy folks, read those labels!).
I had all the ingredients in the house to make granola so I did some searching and learned that it’s easiest when made in the crock pot because the chances of it burning are much lower than when made in the over. So out came the crock pot and thus started my granola making journey. I followed this recipe and tweaked it a little as I didn’t have enough of each ingredient.
This recipe makes a LOT of granola. It will keep for a few weeks in an airtight container but I may also experiment with freezing it. Or Al will just eat a lot of granola for the next few weeks.

This looks so good! I’ve wanted to make my own granola for a long time but I haven’t seen a recipe that looked like one I would really like. This one looks perfect and easy since it is in the crock-pot. Thanks so much!
