high five for friday!

May 16, 2014 by Lindsey Leave a Comment

We’ve made it. Holy crap things have been insane for me lately, as you can likely tell from lack of posting. Not only have I been swamped at my day job, I’ve been struggling with being uninspired resulting in less blogging, the weather has been crappy and I’m just straight up exhausted. I don’t sleep well normally and when I have a lot going on it’s even worse. So I’m ready for the weekend, and even more so the long weekend that’s just around the corner!

Any plans for you guys? I’m hoping to get a hike in, get some projects completed, drink some wine and slow down a bit this weekend. Whatever is on your agenda, enjoy!

high five for friday

1. Huge development in my use of cast iron cookware. I made our first batch of pancakes with nearly no sticking. BOOM!

2. I found these great Tom’s on sale for $30 at Nordstrom Rack. They’re corduroy, so perfect for fall. When I see them on sale I grab em.

3. I’ve been doing a push up challenge for May. It’s not really a challenge, more of a, learn how to do real push ups and get good at them so you don’t have to do girl ones anymore.  I’m up to 12 and am kind of shocked at my abilities. I have perfect form and stay strong the whole time. Before doing this I could do about 5 in good form before resorting to my knees.

4. I chopped my hair off. Like chopped it. As in shortest my hair has ever been and I think I love it. You can’t tell but it also has more of a deep red in it. And I hate selfies so find the need to make ridiculous faces.

5.I became an adult and bought hair products. Yes, I don’t really use hair products and it bothers me because I know it’s damaging. Woohoo for growing up.
