It’s yard sale season here in Denver and I couldn’t be happier! I love perusing sales, seeing what you can find and what great deals you can score. I’m finding that it’s better to hit up the neighborhood yard sales versus the one offs here. We found some great buys at a neighborhood sale recently.
Al found a set of golf clubs from a nice old man who wanted $1 for all of them. $1! They’re selling on eBay for a few hundred currently. We also grabbed some golf balls for a few bucks. The chairs were $1 each which are exactly what we’ve been looking for to add to our tiny dining area. More on that later! That massive storage trunk was $1 and I can’t wait to give it a makeover.
The best purchase was that North Face backpacking tent. It’s brand new and we paid $100. It’s currently on sale at REI for $380! We bought it from a guy who runs a product review website. He and his wife used this tent once to test it out and review it. This wasn’t even an impulse buy, it’s been on our minds that we need to get a tent, but we likely would never have got one this nice!
The last great find was that white vase.
I actually grabbed it at my favorite consignment store. It’s a vase from Anthropologie and it still has the $28 tag on it. I paid $3! But I really paid nothing because I had a credit in my account at the store. I plan to add some large sticks or branches to it. Overall a GREAT first weekend of yard sales. How about you guys? Any great finds lately?!
P.S. Happy Cinco de Mayo! Go find yourself a delicious margarita!
