This apartment we’re living in is small. Really small. And this winter we’ve already had about 1 million inches of snow so the piles of cold weather gear at the doorway have been really getting to me. Using a few baskets, found at Target for $4.99 each, and a few hooks that I already had, I decided to make a mudroom the best I could.
In the middle of a massive snow storm I spray painted the once pink hooks white.
20 inches of snow and some absurd wind gusts…this is one dedicated blogger/crafter:
I hung the hooks right inside the door. Each holds a basket, so Al and I now each have one for gloves and hats.
I also hung two hooks on the other side of the door to hang keys on. Our keys were always just thrown where ever they could be and now we each have a hook for them.
Not half bad for working with a tiny space and needing a few simple organizational solutions. What do you do to store/organize your cold weather gear? This route wasn’t my first choice but it was the most practical for our space, so I’d love to hear other ideas!

Move South, then you don’t need those winter accessories at all! :)
