When you live in a mere 550 square feet you become really good at maximizing every possible inch of storage. I had been storing my scarves and belts in an over the door shoe organizer since we moved in. But, there’s been no space for hats and gloves so they’ve been out in the open in a wire bin. Which I kind of hate…things out in the open.
So I decided to think up another option for the scarves and put the hats and gloves in the shoe organizer instead. I picked up a package of shower curtain rings at the dollar store for a buck. I would have preferred them to be clear, but oh well.
I grabbed a hanger and snapped each ring onto it. I looped each scarf through the rings and then hung the belts from the hook. This was so easy, takes up minimal space because it just hangs in my closet, AND it was only $1!
I also think I’ll wear the belts and scarves more now that I can see them hanging. I’m guilty of grabbing the same one each time I’m running out the door! There’s a few extra rings too so I think it’s time to add some new spring scarves in to the mix. Looks like some shopping is in order this weekend!
