I’m climbing out of the black hole called the real world to share a super easy project!
I found this stool at Goodwill for $8.99. It was brand new, originally from Target, but there was a dent in one of the legs. My solution for that is to face that leg to the wall. While I liked the crisp, white color it was too neutral in our place that is a giant neutral box of white walls and white carpet.
I grabbed a can of Krylon spray paint that I had on hand and headed out to the alley to paint it (city living problems, painting happens in the alley).
Well, Al painted it, because he’s a pro painter. The wooden seat was simple to remove as it was just secured with four screws. I taped the rubber feet on each leg with painters tape because I wanted to keep those black. The paint covered quite nicely and only took about two coats, plus a few touch up areas.
It’s currently acting as an end table/plant stand and will likely stay that way. I like the idea of it being an extra seat when needed, so it’s easy to just move the plant from it.
The plant that we seem to be killing slowly..
