The summer is finally upon us which means (hopefully for you too) relaxing weekends, beaches, sunshine and good books. I have no clue why I find more time to read in the summer months, but I love it. This is what I currently have stacked up for my summer reading (I’ve linked to Amazon, but I <3 the library):
Food Rules: Michael Pollan
The Recipe Club: Andrea Israel and Nancy Garfinkel
In Defense of Food: Micheal Pollan
Stealing with Style: Emyl Jenkins
Way of the Peaceful Warrior: Dan Millman
Time of My Life: Allison Winn Scotch
I also just finished the book The $64 Tomato which was great, though started to drag a bit during the last quarter of the book. All of my summer reading choices were recommendations from friends, blogs, tv, etc. I’ve read Food Rules at least 3 times but I love re-reading it every so often, it’s a great reminder of how we’re made up of what we eat.
Some are serious, some are light beach reads and some have lessons in them. I’d say it’s a decent variety of choices to keep me entertained during the summer months.
What’s on your summer reading list? Any recommendations? I love receiving recommendations for just about anything so please do share if you’ve read anything great lately!
