This is one of the easiest projects and adds such character to an office space. I needed a whiteboard, it’s the way I like taking notes and it saves me from using 1000 post its.
We picked up these frames at a yard sale for a few bucks and I loved how they were gold, but it was a faded, worn out gold.
I chose a fabric that was white with gold dots on it as I needed something that wasn’t too busy or colorful. I cut a piece of foam board to the size of the frame and then wrapped the foam board with the fabric. I then duct tapped it (obviously, since duct tape solves all problems) to secure the fabric.
I stuck the foam board in the frame and had two white boards that doubled as decent looking wall hangings. The wall they’re hanging on is a busy one. See, there’s a lot going on there? I think I’m going to make a small console like table to put under the white board to fill the space but still allow access to all those things.
I love being able to add functionality in a nicer looking way. Similar to this project back when we were living in our apartment. Functional and good-looking. Next up is a different style of cork board/pin board to house all the loose papers on my desk. The transition to working from home permanently has been a disorganized one for my desk, that’s for sure. Stay tuned for that!
