Phase two of this beast was quite easy. Here’s where we left off:
Al painted the inside of the top three drawer spaces. We painted it the same color, though, I might potentially line it with some sort of fun paper at some point. It took two coats of paint to get full coverage in that space.
Then, using a hole saw drill bit we drilled a hole in the back of the dresser to filter all the wires and cords through.
It’s coming together really well. I need to find some bins to fit in the top right and left spaces.
I have some place holders in there for now, but I want something that is entirely enclosed.
Overall, we’re pleased with the way this piece is headed. We still need to find handles for it, hence the ridiculous knobs, and we need to get another leg to support the center of the piece. With the weight on it we realized it could use some extra support. Hoping to finish this up within a week or so, assuming I can find bins that fit exactly and handles…which both are proving to be challenging!
