life lately

October 11, 2016 by Lindsey Leave a Comment

Somehow I blinked and we were almost halfway through October! Thus far the fall season has been busy to say the least – but hopefully will start slowing down a little with weekends at home and preparing for this babe to arrive.

We’re STILL working to get the kitchen finished (the never-ending project) and we’ve already started on the basement which is going to be a beaaaast of a project between asbestos removal, crawl space encapsulation, radon mitigation, bathroom reno, laundry room and living/sleeping space renos. Our minds are spinning but we’re trying to take it one decision at a time. Oh, and there’s that whole baby room thing that also needs to get done. I’m coming up on 32 weeks and this thing is growing for sure.

In recent weeks though, we took a break from the nineteen million decisions around this place, had friends visiting and embarked on a whirlwind weekend of travel.

We started by heading out early on a Friday morning to Nashville to celebrate my brother in-laws 30th birthday. Spent 24 hours there before jetting off to Maryland for a wedding.

We got to stay with friends, who lived just a few minutes from the wedding, see their house and love on their baby before grabbing another flight up to Massachusetts for a baby shower with family.

It was a whirlwind, and took me nearly a full week to recover, but it was worth every flight, airport bathroom, uber ride and the late nights and very limited sleep. My sister nailed it with the baby shower decor.

And we got to spend time with these sweet girls.

It’s nice to know we’re done with travel until this baby arrives and can settle in, finish some lingering projects, watch football, drink pumpkin everything and enjoy the fall. I’m really looking forward to being able to clean up this place and put things away. Problem with all these half done rooms/projects is that there are things everywheeere.

What have you guys been up to lately?
