phone apps i’m currently loving

July 28, 2016 by Lindsey Leave a Comment

I love finding new apps that are helpful, easy to use and free or cheap. I’ve been meaning to share these with you guys for a while now. I’m sure I’ll have even more to share in the coming months too. A few that I’m currently loving and wanted to share:

pocket iconPocket

I can’t remember where I stumbled upon the pocket app. With one click of a button you can save any articles that you’d like to read for later. I used to keep a tab open in my safari app with all these articles I wanted to go back and read and it was very annoying. Now, they all save directly in the Pocket app and I can just click in and read them at my leisure.

I was looking for a good app that targets specific muscle groups through yoga and stretching. I believe I paid $2.99 for this one and it not only targets the muscle groups,  it highlights each muscle so you can see exactly what you’re working on. Ya know, in case you can’t think of the name of the muscle you want to stretch.

Good Reads

This is an app where you can follow friends and get book recommendations from them and others. Each user can rate and review the books that they read and track. I use it more to track the books I’ve read, because sometimes I can’t always remember what I read two years ago. If I’m stuck with nothing on my “to read” list I’ll go digging through and see what others are recommended that align with what I like to read.

Google Drive

If you’re a Gmail user you probably use Google Drive as well. Not sure why it took me so long to download and use the Drive app but it makes backing up photos so much easier. Literally with a few clicks everything gets transferred over to Drive and it’s there for good.

White Noise

If you’re someone who sleeps with some sort of noise then this is an app for you. It has a variety of different white noise suggestions and it’s great for traveling when you might not have a fan or other noise makers where you’re staying. And quick tip if you’re camping and don’t have your phone charging turn your phone to power saver mode and it’ll last through the whole night!
